Lois Wriborg Boren

Lois Wriborg Boren, 80. went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 11, 2009 from her home in Byram. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Springridge United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Boren was born in Rayne, LA and reared in Crowley, LA by her parents Erasmus and Ida May Oussie Wriborg. She had lived in Byram since 1995. Mrs. Boren was a published poet and member of the National Poets Society. She wrote and directed Christian drama and was active in UMW (United Methodist Women). Mrs. Boren was a member of Springridge United Methodist Church.\ \ Survivors include her husband, Dr. Hollis G. Boren of Terry; sons, Doug Boren and wife Barbara of Matthews, NC, Jay Sloane and wife Carol of Ozark, AL; daughters, Cindy Berry and husband David of Wesley Chapel, FL, Debbie Mabry and husband Triston of Temple, TX, Dr. Lisa Yazdani and husband Nanolla of Byram and Elise Boren and partner Rusti of Franklin, NC; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.\ \ On line guest book at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\ \ \ \
