Ms. Lottie Mae Barrett

Lottie Mae Dear Barrett, 85, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon surrounded by her children. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15th from 5-8PM and Thursday, April 16th from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Barrett worked assembly at General Electric then worked outpatient admissions at MS Baptist Medical Center before retiring. Mrs. Barrett is preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Holland Dear; sisters, Mary Lou Arrender, Gettis Paul, Sally Greer, and Wilma Bridges; and her grandson, Ryan Wade Barrett. She is survived by her son, Bobby (Cindy) Barrett of Brandon; daughters, Paula (Steve) Kuhn of Pearl, Teresia (Greg) Griffin of Madison and Liz (Danny) Beasley of Brandon; 10 grandchildren, Milicent Crosby, Shelby Kuhn, Christie Vaughn, Stephanie Barrett, Emily Barrett, Sam Riden, Corie Riden, Andy Beasley, Brad Beasley and Zach Beasley; 11 great grandchildren; and her sisters, Mae Ellis Vance of Pearl, Anita Smiley of Harrisville, Grace Shivers of Harrisville, and Barbara Mullens of Harrisville. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center and the nursing staff of the 5th floor at UMMC.
