Mrs. Louise Nixon Tucker

Mrs. Louise Beatrice Nixon Tucker passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg. She was 89 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Sunday, March 28th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Clear Branch Cemetery. Louise was born March 11, 1932 in Raymond, MS to the late J.D. and Margaret Nixon. She has lived in Florence for the last 72 years and was a faithful member of Clear Branch Baptist Church and Harrisville Baptist Chuch. She worked for many years in the cafeteria at Byram High School and Florence High School. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Mrs. Tucker is also preceded in death by her husband, Pleaz Tucker; son, John David Tucker; brothers, G. L. Nixon and Johnny Nixon; grandson, Joey Brinson; and great granddaughter, Mckenzie Tucker. She is survived by her son, Cleve Tucker of Florence; daughter, Betty (James) Clanton of Brandon/Star; adopted sons, Martin (Jessica) Tucker of Florence and B.J. (Cassie) Tucker of Harrisville; grandchildren, Becky Brinson, Amber Fisher, Jonathan Tucker and Katie Malone; sister, Mattie Middleton of Baton Rouge, LA; and brother, Buddy Nixon of Inverness, FL.
