Mrs. Lula Lucille Laird

Lula Lucille Laird, 95, passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8th at Florence City Cemetery in Florence. Mrs. Laird was born September 4, 1925 in Rankin County, MS to the late William Lawrence and Effie Modina (Brinson) Barron. She grew up in the Clear Branch Community and Graduated from Florence High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence where she was very active with the “Sunny Seniors”. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She never met a stranger. She was passionate about the Lord and blessed others with the love of God.
