Luther Mike Wilson

Luther “Mike” Wilson passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at his home in Florence, MS. He was 65 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

Mike was born on November 17, 1958, to Luther B. Wilson and Gladys D. Fox Wilson in Philadelphia, MS. Mike worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver. He loved hunting and fishing, but fishing was his true passion. He also enjoyed cutting grass and watching TV. Some of his favorite shows and channels were, The Masked Singer, American Chopper, Food TV, The Discovery Channel, and The History Channel. Mike loved baseball and going to games with his boys. He was an Atlanta Braves fan. But above all of that, Mike loved spending time with his family, having cookouts and taking David to run errands.

Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Zola Wilson and brother, Sammy Dale Wilson. He is survived by his sons, Nick Wilson (Karry) of Florence, David Wilson of Florence, and John Robert Wilson of Minnesota; and brother, Donald “Wayne” Wilson of Florence.
