Lynda McGowan

Lynda Fowler "Mama Lynda" McGowan, 66, of Byram, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital.\ \ Visitation will be 5-8pm today at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with funeral services 11am Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Jackson.\ \ A native of Jackson, Mrs. McGowan had worked at St. Dominic ER as a secretary and previously as a dietician at Crawford Nursing Home. She was a Past Matron of the Radiant Chapter #120 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Grand Representative for the OES. Mrs. McGowan was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, active in the Exchange Club of Oak Forest and the Oak Forest Baseball Association. She is preceded in death by her son, Eddie.\ \ She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lloyd "Yogi" McGowan, of Byram; children, Lloyd (Sylvia) McGowan, Jr, of Byram, Teresa Loftin, of Byram, John (Buffy) McGowan, of Terry, and James (Sonja) McGowan, of Byram; brothers, Bobby Fowler of Brandon, Billy Fowler of Walnut Grove, Buddy Fowler of Franklin, TN; sister, Patsy Hutton of Raymond; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren\
