Margaret Cherry

Mrs. Margaret Lyle Cherry, 82, went home to be with her Lord, January 22, 2009 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Friday,January 23, 5-7 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Saturday 1-2 p.m. prior to the 2 p.m. service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood South.\ \ Mrs. Cherry grew up in Florence and was a graduate of Florence High School then moved and lived in Jackson for 45 years before returning to Florence in 1999. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a godly lady. She always cared about others before herself. She had worked in the personnel department of Trustmark National Bank before retirement.\ \ She is survived by her husband, G.W. "Dub" Cherry; sons: Bobby (JoAnn) Cherry and David (Jacqui) Cherry all of Florence; half-brother, Walter F. McKenzie, Jr. of Texas, half-sister, Carolyn Warren of Baton Rogue, LA; three grandchildren: Bryan Cherry, Joshua Cherry and Josiah Cherry.\
