Mrs. Margaret Sandifer

Mrs. Margaret Ann Cobb Sandifer, 80, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2013 at Simpson General Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, followed by a graveside service at Palestine Cemetery in Harrisville at 11:30 AM. Mrs. Sandifer was born April 2, 1933 in Ohatchee, AL to the late Roland and Ada Mickler Cobb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Sandifer; and siblings, Virginia Colvard, Charles Cobb, Tommy Cobb, Billy Cobb, Roy Cobb, Russell Cobb, and Marvin “Buddy” Cobb. She is survived by her children, Ronald White of Cullman, AL, Marilyn White Lewis (Kenneth) of Florence, Harrell White of Jackson, and Darrell White of Jackson; and by her step-children, Bonnie Ward (Mike) of Harrisville, Cindy Etheridge (Sam) of Brandon, Julie Sandifer of Fresno, CA, Phillip Sandifer (Sally) of Missouri, Julian “Bo” Sandifer Jr. (Kim) of Richland, and Gay Lynn Goff (Don) of Richland. Mrs. Sandifer is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
