Mrs. Margie Lillard

Margie Rae Hambrick Lillard, 82, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Merit Health Central in Jackson. Visitation will be 10am-12noon Monday, February 6th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will follow at Rosemont Gardens. Mrs. Lillard was born in Itta Bena, MS to the late William David Hambrick and Margie Greene Hambrick. She was a longtime resident of South Jackson and former member of Oak Forest Baptist Church, retiring as office manager for Lillard Adjusting Services. Mrs. Lillard loved to read and work crossword puzzles, especially the New York Times crossword, which she was so accomplished at, that she would do it in ink! She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Lillard; brother, James “Bubba” Hambrick and sister, JoAnn Fleming. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Allen (Tom) of Raymond; grandson, Christopher Allen, whom she adored; nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Association.
