Marguerite Sebren

Mrs. Marguerite S. Sebren left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Jackson, MS. She was 86 years old. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will follow at 11:00. Interment will be at Clear Branch Cemetery in Florence.

Mrs. Marguerite was born on January 27, 1937, to William J and Augusta Boothe Shutt in Hinds County, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Florence where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. She graduated from Florence High School in 1954.  Mrs. Marguerite worked for MS State Health Department for 39 ½ years where she was a Data Control Supervisor. Mrs. Marguerite loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Martha Jean Shutt and husband, Millard Sebren. She is survived by her cousins, nieces, and a host of dear friends.

A very special thank you to her personal physician, Dr. Jeffrey Leduff for many years of medical care and a special thank you to Briarhill Nursing Home staff for the great care over the past five years.
