Mrs. Marie Nichols

Mrs. Rose Marie Nichols, 83, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Riggs Manor in Raymond. Born June 17, 1932, youngest child of Pearl Irene (Gable) Moore and John Ellis Moore. Married Davis A. “Jack” Nichols on March 3, 1951. She was a faithful member of Wynndale Baptist Church. A nurse for many years, she worked for St. Dominic Hospital, Hinds General Hospital, and Dr. McCollum for over 20 years. She was known for being a good cook, and cooked for everyone she met. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6pm, March 13th, 2015 at Wynndale Baptist Church in Terry, Mississippi with a funeral service beginning at 6pm. Interment will commence on Monday, March 14th at 12pm in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek, MS, She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Jack” Nichols and her son, David “Nick” Nichols II; brothers Little J.E. Moore, Leon Sonny Moore, James Ray Moore and Wiley G. Moore; sisters Malita Gammill, Mary Lucy Herrin and Jimmie Dee Hollingsworth. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Gene) Chamberlain of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Taylor and Aidan Chamberlain. She is also survived by her treasured friend Lois Morris of Byram.
