Marie Thacker

Mrs. Marie Thacker, 91, ended her earthly journey from her home on Thursday, November 06, 2008. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. services at Harrisville United Methodist Church with Reverends Larry Sappington and Kent Yarborough officiating. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Thacker; her son, Dolphis; three daughters-in-law: Emma Grantham Thacker, Margaret Irby Thacker, and Carol Barlow Thacker; two brothers and a sister.\ \ She is survived by: sons: John (Nell) Thacker, Ray Thacker, and A.C. Thacker; two brothers: Everett Ward, Allen Ward: and three sisters: Eunice Lee, Mamie Lou Welch and Mary Mitchell; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.\ \ Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Harrisville UMC, PO Box 158, Harrisville, MS 39082.
