Mrs. Marilyn Keen

Marilyn Keen, 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home in Florence. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Tennessee. Marilyn Keen was born February 20, 1942 in Jackson, MS to the late John Hilton and Evelyn Hilton. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked as an underwriter for Aetna Insurance. She was a courageous single mother, working while raising her children. She had a generous spirit and served as caregiver for her parents. In her free time, she enjoyed hairdressing and spending time with her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Along with her parents, Mrs. Keen was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Thomas Keen and her sister, Patricia McCallum. She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Kim) Keen of Florence; sister, Gloria (Richard) Allen of Brandon; and two grandchildren, Brett Keen and Nichole Keen.
