Marion Green Jordan, age 90, went to see her Lord on Monday, April 24, 2017 at The Blake in Flowood, MS. Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home. Funeral services will also be at Chancellor Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 27, at 10:00 am. Marion Jordan was born August 30, 1926 to George L. Green and Adelaide Stevens Green in Long Branch, NJ. She attended the Long Branch public schools and met the love of her life J.H. "Jack" Jordan from Laurel, MS at Fort Dix, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, of 59 years, grandson Casey Green Allen and her parents. Employed at Kennington's Department Store as the manager of the art needlework department, Marion taught many customers the art of sewing, embroidery and knitting. In later years she used her skills as a seamstress to make hundreds of outfits for children in Honduras, a part of her church's ministry. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Brandon. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her four children, daughters Pat Allen (Billy), of Clinton, and Jill Johnson (Rodger) of Atlanta, GA; sons Jack Jordan (Jean) of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Jimmy Jordan (Lisa) of Terry; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her sense of humor, hospitality and fun-loving nature will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church Salt and Light Ministries for Honduras.
