Marion Thomas “Squeaky” Ingram was called home on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home in Florence. He was 79 years old. His going home service will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Thursday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 7th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, July 8th from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. Mr. Ingram was born in Ruleville, MS and moved to Jackson when he was about four years old. He is a 1961 graduate of Central High School in Jackson, MS. A Veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1965 at the SAC Air Force Base in North Little Rock, AR. After active duty, he moved the family back to Jackson where he worked and eventually retired from the Jackson Police Department as Detective-Sergeant. Following his retirement, he moved to Florence, but still kept his home in the Old Pearl Community of Harrisville, MS. He served as a Lieutenant, before retiring from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Gaynell Kilpatrick Ingram; his children, Thomas Ingram and family of Florence, MS, Cheryl Ingram Waltz and family of Harrisville; Leesa Ingram Davis and family of Abilene, TX and Orlando, FL, and Damion Lee and Brady Smith of Florence, MS; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Erline Dufresne of Crystal Springs, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.
