Mark Stephen Boteler, 44, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7th from 11AM until the 2PM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will follow at Briar Hill Baptist Church cemetery. As a son, father, an uncle or a brother, Mark was always able to lift spirits and brighten our days with kind words or the willingness to help. He often surprised the children with trips to the toy store or a day of outdoor activities. Mark loved to share his interest in building projects, and the growing world of technology with his family. This brought him great joy. He was very knowledgeable in many fields; two of his favorites being Mathematics and Technology. He took great pride in sharing these skills with others. We will all miss his gentle, caring heart, warm personality, and charming character that made him who he was. Knowing Mark has left us a stronger, closer family. He leaves us blessed with cherished memories. “Mark was not just my husband, he was my best friend, my provider, my strength when I needed it, the hand I held, the heart I loved, the soul treasured; but most of all, he was the father my children needed. We will truly miss the gentle man Mark was to us all.” Written by his devoted wife, Dawn. Mark is survived by his parents, Ray Boteler and Brenda Moore; loving sisters, Lisa M. Boteler and Jennifer K. Stringer; wife, Dawn Boteler; daughter, Sommer Clark; son, Dakota Clark. “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 Memorials may be made to Briarhill Baptist Church, Florence, MS.
