Mrs Martha "Teanie" Caulkins

Mrs. Martha “Teanie” Elizabeth Gordon Caulkins passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 93 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery in Harrisville, MS. Teanie was born September 24, 1928 in Harrisville, MS to the late Albert Hall “Dee” Gordon and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ward Gordon. She was a member of First Baptist church of Florence. Along with her parents, Teanie was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Norman Caulkins, Sr.; brothers, Tom, A.D., Owen, Clyde, John Allen and Roy; and by her sisters, Mary Dee and Hazel “Cricket”. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Marshall) Yelverton of Florence; son, James Norman Caulkins of Florence; grandchildren, Cory Yelverton (Jonathan Riley) of Clinton and Jesse Yelverton (Morgan) of Hammond, LA; close family friends, Isaiah, Melissa, and Jason McGee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice Ministries or First Baptist Church of Florence Senior Adult Ministry.
