Martha Shirleen Clare

Martha Shirleen Clare, 88, went on to be with Jesus on September 28, 2022. She was born on September 1, 1934 to Edwin and Wilma Burley in Bernice, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John R. Clare. Mrs. Clare is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Clare Donahoe (Mike); grandson, Jonathan (Tiffany); and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Cameron, and Mackenzie Donahoe.

She retired from AllState where she worked as a claim adjuster. She was an avid reader and had a deep love for college football, especially LSU and the TN Vols. Her grandson and great grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She truly enjoyed helping take care of her great grandchildren, teaching them card games and playing dolls with her great granddaughter. She was truly a blessing to those around her and always had words of wisdom to offer when they were needed.
