Martha Dansby

 Martha Frances Davis Dansby, 83, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 12, 2023. The family will receive friends for visitation, Tuesday August 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Funeral Home  and again Wednesday, August 16 from 9:00 AM until the 10:00 AM funeral service in the chapel of Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Interment will follow in Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was born September 9, 1939, in Jackson MS to James and Ada Coke Davis. She made her home in the Braxton area for the better part of 45 years and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Martha loved her family but especially loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and crafts.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, James and Ada Davis; grandson, Bryan Paulson; brothers, Charles William Davis and John Ward Davis. Those  left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Tommy Dansby, Sr. of Braxton; daughters, Tammie Dye and her husband Alan of Braxton, Terrie Hill and her husband Joel of Brandon; son, Tommy Dansby, Jr. of Braxton; grandchildren, Ashley Pippen, Adam Martin, Amber Elder, Crystal Wall, Michael Paulson, Steven Paulson, Seth Dye, Tommy Dansby; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lynn Truitt of Florence and several Nieces and nephews.
