Mrs. Martha Carolyn Odom

Martha Carolyn Odom, 72, went to be with the Lord on February 07, 2020 at Hospice Ministries in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Sunday, February 09, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at 2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Odom was born to James Sills and Ruthie Greer Sills on March 22, 1948. Raised in Pinola, she graduated from high school in Jackson, MS. She was employed as a customer sales representative at various companies, including Barksdale Bonding, Allstate, and Regions Insurance. Mrs. Odom was known for making the best cathead biscuits and tomato gravy and enjoyed working in her yard. She had a generous spirit and was always giving to others. She is survived by her sons, Clint (Dawn) Ertle of Terry and Wesley Odom of Byram; daughter, Laurie Ertle and her fiance, Bailey Bourgeois of Clinton, LA; sisters, Peggy Patterson, Janet Easley, Janice Childs, and Sheila Blanton; and two grand-children, Warren (Jamie) Ertle and Payton Ertle and her fiance, Drew Taleisnik.
