Martin "Marty" T. Skeen, 49, passed away Saturday November 26, 2011. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Thursday, December 1st and 12-2 pm Friday, December 2nd with Funeral services 2pm Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.\ \ Marty was a metal artist and avid fisherman. After graduating from Florence High School in 1980, he joined the Sheet Metal Union Local #406, where he worked for many years and had become a teacher. He was a lover of the ocean and scuba diving. His creativity allowed him to share his wonderful works of art and left many examples of his fine copper work on buildings and prominent residences in the Jackson area. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence. \ \ He is preceded in death by his father Edward Skeen and his step daughter, Heather- Renee'.\ \ His survivors include his son, Hunter Skeen, his daughters, Melanie Little, Heidi Marsh, and Haley Skeen; His mother Barbara Skeen; his brothers Ricky and Mike Skeen; His grandchildren Keasten and Kamrie Marsh, Emma-Hope Skeen, Karlie Hilton, Garret Melton and Olivia Crosser, Also a great amount of nieces and nephews and friends who he loved dearly. \ \ Marty Skeen's family asks that you join them in blue in remembrance of his life, skills and shared memories.
