Marvin Clarence Hazlewood

Marvin Clarence Hazlewood, Sr., age 72 – died Friday, June 7, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Hazlewood was born October 30, 1951, in Vicksburg, MS.

He retired, after 30 years, from the U.S. Postal Service as a lead mechanic. He was a member of Oakview Baptist Church. Mr. Hazlewood enjoyed tinkering with Model Trains, learning about history, especially from the Civil War era, and collecting antique coins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis B. Hazlewood Sr., and Mary C. Hood Hazlewood, his brother, Lewis B. Hazlewood, Jr., and his nephew, Brian Thomas Hazlewood.

He is survived by his sons, Marvin Hazlewood, Jr. and wife Amy of Harrisville, MS and Chris Hazlewood and wife Missy of Terry, MS; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations, in lieu of floral gifts, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
