Mary Jeanette Bishop, 69, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. There are no services scheduled at this time. Mrs. Bishop was a long time resident of Brandon, moving from Jackson. She was a very good-hearted woman that was always smiling and would help anybody. She loved her family and was a great mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She believed in and lived for the Lord. Mrs. Bishop worked at Norman Shirt Makers in Byram until they closed and owned and operated “The Hideaway” with her husband in Jackson for many years before he passed away. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Georgia Hamilton; her husband, Milton Bishop, and her sisters, Bobbie Nell Smith and Joyce Nordin. She is survived by her children, Charles Wayne Buckley of Brandon, Teresa Buckley Foster of Brandon, and Mary J. Ballard of Kosciusko; brothers, Mack Hamilton and Tommy Hamilton of Richland; sister, Doris Smith of Mendenhall; seven grandchildren, Jessica Pierce, Victoria Pierce, Christopher Buckley, Michael Ray Ballard, Nacole Ballard, George Ballard, and Natasha Jenkins; and 17 great grandchildren.
