Mrs. Mary Sue Carmichael

Mary Kelly Carmichael went home to join our Heavenly Father on October 1, 2018. Mary was born on December 31, 1942 in Florence Alabama. She was a resident of Flora Mississippi at the time of her passing. Mary enjoyed being a restaurant manager for Mazzio’s Pizza for more than 20 years. Some of her best times were fishing with her husband Jim and her friends in Louisville Mississippi. Mary loved working in her yard and viewing the beauty of her efforts on her porch while drinking coffee in the mornings. She was an avid reader and you seldom saw her without her books. One of her greatest joys was bragging on her children and grandchildren and keeping up with what was going on in their daily lives. Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. Carmichael of Flora; her children, Kim (Brad) Bassett Reynolds of Pearl, Patrick John (Becky) Bassett of TX, Mindy Bassett Pope of Pearl, James Joseph Bassett of TX, Kathie Bassett Barrilleaux of OR, Craig Carmichael of PA, Christye (Sonny) Bryant of Magee, and Chad Carmichael of MS; her brother Ronnie (Debbie) Brewer of AL; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Chancellor Funeral home in Byram Mississippi on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
