Mary Collum Chapman, 99, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Visitation will be 1:00pm-2:30pm Saturday, August15, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm Saturday at Lula Cemetery in Pocahontas, MS. Mrs. Chapman is the daughter of the late Marvin Earl and Mary Greaves Collum. A lifelong resident of MS, she was owner of Chapman’s Blossom shop in south Jackson for 26 years and an accomplished artist and published poet. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Leroy L. Chapman. Survivors include her children, Gale Adams and her husband Tommy Adams; Linda Frisbie, Leroy Chapman whom she lived with; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
