Mrs. Mary "Faye" Ellis

Mary Faye Rogers Ellis passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at University of MS Medical Center in Jackson. She was 80 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 26th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Gospel Chapel in Richland. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in Florence. Mrs. Ellis was born May 26, 1941 in Tchula, MS to the late Louis and Ercell Rogers. She loved the Lord, her kids, and her husband, Charlie. She was known by most as “Granny” and was loved by everyone who knew her. She not only believed in the Word of God, but lived it out in her daily life. She loved her church, Gospel Chapel, and her church family dearly. Along with her parents, Mrs. Faye is also preceded in death by her brother, Buck Rogers; and her granddaughter, Christy Williams. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Ellis; sons, Tommy Vaughn of Learned, Bubba (Andrea) Vaughn of Byram, and Chip (Lorie) Ellis of Vicksburg; daughters, Donna (Perry) Maupin of Learned, Melissa Wallace of Raymond, Connie Rice of Florence, Susan Long of Brandon, Teressa (Jimmy) Nevels of Vicksburg, and Sissy (Chris) Marsh of Hazlehurst; brother, Harold (Jane) Clay; sisters, Glenda (Steve) Rocca, Charlene Rogers, Joyce (Tim) Gary, and Emily Carter; and a multitude of grandchildren, Great grandchildren, and other extended family members.
