Mrs. Mary "Mimi" Kelty

Mary “Mimi” Kelty, 84, passed away on Monday, August 09, 2021 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Mrs. Kelty was born on November 08, 1936 to William and Estelle Aulenbrock in Canton, MS. She grew up in a family of dairy farmers and was raised in Gluckstadt as a member of one of the original founding families. She had been a resident of Terry, MS for the past 16 years. She was a mother of nine children and a foster mother to many more. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Kelty and son, Stephen Gerald Kelty. She is survived by eight children, Mark (Christina) Kelty, Patrick Kelty, John (Nikki) Kelty, Karen Kelty (Randall) Cheatwood, Suzanne Kelty (Corwin) Bradley, Beverly Kelty (Eddie) Simmons, Diane Kelty (Skip) Peters, and Terry Kelty (Brad) Barnett; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Pat Crotwell.
