Mrs. Mary Frances Lewis

Mary Frances Lewis, 69, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 10am-11am Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will follow at 11:30am Thursday at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis was born in Jackson to the late Jack L. Holmes and Mattie Ruth Farmer Holmes. A longtime resident of the Terry/Crystal Springs area, Mrs. Lewis enjoyed working crossword puzzles and coloring books. She took great pleasure talking and socializing with family, friends, and neighbors. She loved her children and grandchildren and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Lewis was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Lewis and two sisters, Johnnie and Lee. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Robert E. Leiws of Crystal Springs; son, Donald “Don” Lewis and daughter, Jennifer Farmer both of Crystal Springs; brother Donald Holmes (Vickie) of Utica, Gary Mac Holmes (Charlene) of Terry and Thomas Homes (Cindy) of Utica; sister, Evelyn Darnell of Terry; grandchildren, Kent Lewis and Austin Farmer. Donations may be made to Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram to help with funeral expenses.
