Ms. Mary Nellie Medina

Mary Nellie Medina, 79, left this life and entered the Gates of Heaven on Thursday, December 13, 2018 with her fishing pole in hand. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the 2:00pm Funeral Service Monday, December 17, 2018 at Lodebar United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mary Nell was born on May 14, 1939 in Pelahatchie, MS. She was a spunky lady who loved life and her family. She was also hard working and touched many lives. Her door was open to everyone and was everybody’s caregiver. Mary Nell never met a stranger and if she did they became her friend instantly. Mary Nell was greeted upon her arrival in Heaven by her parents Grover Wadsworth and Erma James Wadsworth; her brothers, Bossie Wadsworth, Irvin Wadsworth, Junior Wadsworth, Bill Wadsworth, Roy Wadsworth and Robert Wadsworth; her sister, Mattie Lou Westbrook; her grandson Daniel Medina; and her sons-in-law Mike Carroll and Charlie Upchurch. She leaves behind her daughter, Annette Carroll; her sons Walter Renfroe, Sam Renfroe, Patrick Medina and Ephrim Medina; lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sister Bernice Whittington and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Copiah Living Center and Pax Hospice for their extra-ordinary love and care they have provided.
