Mrs. Mary Ann Murphy

Mary Ann Murphy Byram, MS Mary Ann Murphy, 80, died Sunday, March 22, 2020 at her residence in Byram. Due to the current situation in our world and the families concern for their family and friends, they will be having a private family services. Mary Ann was born April 13, 1939 in Jackson, MS to John and Lubbia Young Pafford. Originally from South Jackson, she moved to Byram in 1989 where she has made her home. She was married in a shoe store in Newton , MS at age 16 and celebrated 64 years of marriage with her husband. A member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton, and was a former member of Epworth UMC where she was a cook. She is remembered as a wonderful grandmother, whom loved to travel in groups, loved to read, loved the outdoors and her animals. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Mike Murphy. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Jimmie Murphy of Byram; daughter, Kim (Ricky) Saxton of Byram; grandchildren, Amanda Saxton of Byram, Ryan (Marla) Saxton of Jackson, Donna (Tyler )Harris of Madison; great grandchildren, Cameron Saxton, Katie Woods, Parker Harris and one on the way.
