Mary Francis Pearson

Mary Francis Pearson passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 79 years old. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, October 19^th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.

Mrs. Pearson was born September 2, 1943, in Terry, MS to the late Ansley and Sarah Somers. She was a life-long resident of Rankin County. She worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed growing flowers, especially day lilies, and watching the hummingbirds fly in her yard. She also enjoyed reading Danielle Steele Novels.

Along with her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Milton (Cindy) Cooksey of Shreveport, LA, Lynn Wheeler, Rodger (Michelle) Cooksey of Brandon, MS, and Denice May (John Fox) of Brandon, MS; brother, Tom (Kay) Somers of Pearl, MS; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
