Mary Elizabeth Perry

Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Perry, 77, passed away on June 12, 2023. She was born on October 16, 1945, to James Hall and Elsa Deloach Hall in Grenada County, MS. Mary Elizabeth was known to most as Libby.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  

Family was everything to Libby.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Throughout her life she made sure to keep the needs and wants of her family paramount. She was an avid sewer and quilter who enjoyed spending time creating beautiful pieces for friends and family.  She spent many hours tending to her beloved flowers and vegetable garden.  In particular,Libby loved spending time with her furry companions - border collies - who brought joy to her life in their own special way.  She will be fondly remembered for being a fabulous cook who always loved to cook for those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tracy Elizabeth Brantley. 

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Larry Mitchell "Mickey" Perry; a daughter Robin Perry of Rayville, LA; a son Larry Mitchell "Mitch" Perry II; grandchildren Chase Elam, Will Brantley, Braeden Brantley, Mallory McVay, Jaimee McVay, Addison Brooke Perry, Aiden Perry and Whitney Steel; a brother Joe (Teri) Hall; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Libby's life will be celebrated with visitation taking place at Chancellor Funeral Home Byram Location at 7225 S Siwell Rd., Byram MS on June 14th from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM followed by funeral services at the same location at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place following the funeral service at Palestine Cemetery located in Raymond MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
