Miss Mary Ernestine Pittman

Miss Mary Ernestine Pittman passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 5-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home on Siwell Road in Byram. Funeral services will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Siwell Road, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10am, with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (Smith County) Mize, MS at 2pm. Ernestine was born on December 19, 1935 to Bertha Stuckey Pittman and Ernest T. Pittman. She grew up in Smith County and graduated from Mize High School. Ernestine was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company and South Central Bell Telephone for thirty eight years, holding various assignments and retiring in 1991. Ernestine was a long-time member at Fellowship Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing for the Lord. Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by many cousins, church family, and many devoted friends. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Missions Program, 3823 S.
