Mrs. Mary Roan Polk

Mary Roan Polk, 75, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Burial will follow at Rosemont Gardens. She loved to cook and she also enjoyed creating recipes, crocheting and raising children. She was an avid sports fan for the Arkansas Razorbacks, Nascar and the New Orleans Saints. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Amanda Scott, her son, Thomas John Irby and her sister, Nancy Holifield. She leaves behind her husband, Douglas Polk of Pearl, son, Jerry (Lisa) Letterman of Calhoun, LA; daughters, Diana (David) Phillips of West Monroe, LA, Amy (Chris) Sonnenberg of Polkville, MS and Donna (Brad) Best of Pearl, MS; sisters, Jackie (Marty) Martin of Chandler, TX, Bonnie Gay (Glen) Emerson of Shreveport, LA and Sharon Bass of West Monroe, LA; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
