Mary Dann Stampley

Mary “Danny” Stampley,87, passed from this earthly life into her Heavenly Father’s arms on March 07, 2022 at Merit Health Central. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Danny, the youngest of 8 children, was born on August 14, 1934. She was a graduate of Anding High School (1952), Mississippi College (1955), and Golden Gate Baptist Theology University (1960). After a brief teaching career, she was appointed Missionary by South Baptist International Mission Board on May 11, 1961 to Ghana, Africa and then on February 08, 1993 to the Philippines. She served for 35 years, sharing the good news that Jesus Christ loves all people around the world. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, O.K. and Eloise Stampley; brothers, Bobby, Norris, Herb, and Vernon Stampley; and sisters, Marjorie Kirk and Betty Alexander. She is survived by sister, Dorothy Porter (James) and numerous nieces and nephews.
