Mrs. Mary Thornton Stubbs

Mary Thornton Stubbs, 61, Passed away March 27, 2016 at University Medical Center. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Funeral Home chapel with visitation at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Stubbs was raised and lived most of her live in Florence and worked for the Rankin County School Systems. For the past 16 years she lived in Mendenhall and worked for Simpson County School System. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Thornton. She is survived by son Jimbo (Kendall) Thornton of Waynesboro; daughter Charity Dawn Thornton Perry of Mendenhall; sister Jackie Parker of Florence; and Grandchildren Hailey Perry, William Perry, Ben Pace, and Laura Katherine Thornton.
