Mary Lynne (Farrell) Tucker was born in Electric Mills, Mississippi in 1940 and left us on January 23, 2022. Daughter of the late Mary Frances Farrell (who made sure Lynne played piano) and Ralph Farrell, Sr (who made sure Lynne always had a puppy). Lynne was sister to the late Ralph Rush Farrell (Becky) and aunt to Katie Farrell and Betsy Farrell Garcia (Charles), great-aunt to Collette Garcia. Lynne enjoyed playing piano, singing with church choirs & Sweet Adelines, but she came alive when she sang baritone with “The Bron Tones”, an award winning barbershop quartet. Lynne attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she met her love, Bobby Joe Tucker. Their sense of humor is what bonded those two. Lynne loved the sound of laughter. She was self-deprecating, allowing herself to be the butt of a joke, just to hear you laugh or to put you at ease. Their union brought two sons, the late Bill Tucker and Robert “Spartie” Tucker (Lori), who both inherited their mom’s love of music, animals and sense of humor. Their family moved with every new opportunity for Bobby, leaving her ancestral home in Moss Point for Ocean Springs, Birmingham, Baltimore, New Orleans, and back to Moss Point. “Another Adventure With Bobby” is how she described her life, with all the packing & moving, all the ups & downs of business. Sometimes it meant European vacations, riding their Harley, and donations to their alma mater, but other times it meant heartache. As long as she had “her angel” Spartie watching Pink Panther movies with her, a mystery novel in her hands, a dog by her side, living near a Mexican Restaurant and a Dairy Queen, all was right in her world. Mary Lynne Farrell Tucker was the definition of a southern lady. She went to charm school and knew social graces & proper etiquette, and yet, she was a suntanned lifeguard who was called toward a loud, fun, boating life in Moss Point, and she always loved sharing her home there. The family would like to thank the entire Tucker / Brinson family for their love & help with all things Bobby & Lynne after their final move to Clear Branch. The family would like to thank Dr. Katie Farrell for all the love & caring during Bobby & Lynne’s most difficult stage of life. We would like to thank Pastor BB Watson of Marvin Methodist Church. He counseled, accepted and understood them, and gave audience to our comedy duo. You may make donations to the American Heart Association or your local Animal Shelter, but she would really want you to raise a glass to her at a Mexican Restaurant. Don’t forget to stop by the Dairy Queen on the way home. Interment will be private. Arrangements were made through Chancellor Funeral Home.
