Mrs. Maudell Anita Railsback

Maudell Anita Railsback, 96 years young, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Riggs Manor where she had resided for the past 8 years. A family graveside service will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS. Maudell was born on August 08, 1924 to Norb and Katherine Claire Perkins in Kosciusko, MS. She married the love of her life, Lee Railsback in 1952. Besides her devotion to her family, one of her greatest accomplishments was attending nursing school in 1968 at age 44, which began a most fulfilling career caring for children with special needs at the Crippled Children’s Center. Along with her parents, Maudell is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Railsback; her brother, Jimmy Perkins; and her brother-in-law, Bill Railsback. She is survived by her children, Denise (Joel) Nix and Lisa (Fon) Campbell; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Rob) Stevens of Clinton, Hayes (Melissa) Nix of Raymond, and Ashley and Meaghan Campbell of Birmingham, AL; three great-grandchildren, Adyson Nix, Moxon Stevens, and Nix Stevens; step brother, Joe (Kathy) Nelms of Walnut Creek, CA; and sister-in-law, Faye Railsback of McComb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Raymond Road Baptist Church at 4622 Raymond Rd. Jackson, MS 3212 or the charity of your choice.
