Maxine Walker

Maxine Elizabeth Walker,73, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at River Oaks/Crossgates Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Visitation and funeral services will also be held at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR with interment to follow in Laredo Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Walker was an executive assistant with the Public Employees Retirement Systems of MS. An artist and avid golfer, she was past president of the Brookwood Ladies Golf Association, Jackson Ladies Golf Association and MS Ladies Golf Association. Mrs. Walker was a member of Alta Woods Methodist Church.\ \ Survivors include her husband, Fred M. Walker of Jackson; son, Charles Michael Gregson (Kathy) of Little Rock AR, Rhonda Carol Dye of Searcy, AR, Cheryl Annette Harrell (Tommy) of Morton, Vickie Lynn Carter (Darryl) of Collierville, TN, Susan Elizabeth Turner (Carl) of OR; step-children, Mitch Walker (Marie), Pete Walker (Margie) and Joseph L. Walker (Teresa) all of Crystal Springs; sisters, Betty Crawford of Paragould, AR, Loretta Hillard of Jonesboro, AR; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.\
