Melanie Martin

Melanie Martin, 44 , passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at her home in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ \ Mrs. Martin was born in Leake County, MS on March 3, 1965 to Joe and Grace Scarborough. A lifelong resident of the Jackson area, Melanie was a homemaker and very involved at Hillcrest Christian School. She attended Lakeshore Methodist Church.\ \ Survivors include her husband, Van Martin, Jr.; son, Joseph Martin and daughter, Kellie Martin all of Jackson; and family friend Sarah Clair; brothers, Bruce Scarborough (Jan) of Natchez and Brian Scarborough of Jackson; niece Ginnie; and nephew Steve.
