Melanie Elaine Stewart

Melanie Elaine Stewart, 54, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at UMC in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2013, 9am until the 11am funeral service, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Melanie was a lifelong resident of Jackson, graduating from Forest Hill High School in 1976. She was Deputy Court Clerk for the Municipal Court of Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sylvia Stewart. Survivors include her longtime companion Chris Deen of Jackson; sisters Charlee Oswalt of Terry and Mara Gordy of Cummings, GA; aunt Lucy Leverette (Gerald) of Brandon; nieces and nephews, Chad, Kelsey and Chase Oswalt and Alyx Gordy.
