Melvin Lowell Sherbert, 61 , passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, May 28, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Terry Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Sherbert was a native of Atalla, Al and worked for James Freight.\ \ \ He is preceded in death by his father Lowell J. Sherbert and sister Brenda Sherbert. Survivors include his wife Mary Loraine Sherbert of Byram; mother Ruby Sherbert of Terry; sons Nathan Lowell Sherbert (Heather) of Jackson, Chad Sherbert of Byram; daughter Lauren Sherbert of Byram; sister Juanice Jones (Johnny) of Crystal Springs; special nephew Brian Sherbert and grandson Nathan Landon Sherbert.\ \
