Mrs. Merle Adams Hudson

Mrs. Merle Hudson passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her home in Richland, MS. Visitation will be at First United Methodist in Richland, MS from 12pm until the 2pm Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Merle lived her entire life in Rankin County and was a member of First United Methodist of Richland for over 50 years. She had many hobbies including painting figurines, collecting quarters and made jewelry from silver spoons. She worked for over 30 years performing U.S. Geological Survey and received several outstanding performance awards during that time. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lynley Creighton Adams and Leila Myrtle Speer Adams; 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and a grandson. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim Hudson; children, Larry (Suzanne) Rimes, Brenda Rimes (Rodger) Moore, Lynn (Brinda) Rimes, Judy, (Roland) White, James W. (Ronda) Hudson, Jr., Jan (Bob) Kirkwood, Jeff (Liz) Hudson and Jon Hudson; sister, Sandra K. Freathy; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Building Fund at First United Methodist Church of Richland.
