Mr. Michael Douglas McKinley

Michael Douglas McKinley, 56, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at University of MS Medical Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, 11AM until the 1PM funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton. Mr. McKinley called Harrisville home for the past year, moving from Pearl. He was a transmission technician with A1 Transmissions. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved antique cars, and was a member of Simpson County Cruisers. He loved his friends and family and enjoyed outdoor activities with them. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathy McKinley of Harrisville; daughters, Chasity (Cory) Dearman of Brandon and Charity Self of Brandon; brothers, Jim (JoAn) McKinley of Braxton and Kenneth McKinley of Brandon; sisters, Betty (Robert) Myers of Pearl and Sue Robinson of Pearl; 4 grandchildren, Dillon Davis, Lexi Davis, Cheyenne Self, and Trey Self; and 1 great grandson, Jacob Davis.
