Mr. Michael "Mickey" Wayne Griffith

Michael “Mickey” Wayne Griffith, 71, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at his home in Florence with his family by his side. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 6th from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mickey was born September 28, 1950 in Jackson, MS to the late Cletus and Madie Griffith. He has lived in Florence since 1996. He retired from Hesselbein Tire Company as the Manager. He loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed cooking and grilling out and was an avid Mississippi State Fan. Mickey loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. Mickey is survived by his wife, Pat Griffith of Florence; children, Shelie Etheridge (Andy) of Canton and Christie Griffith (Stephen Cozart) of Jackson; grandchildren, Devin Griffith (Kaley), Kalee Irby, Breanna Irby, Lauren Irby, Riley Cozart, Natchez Cozart, Jillian Etheridge, and Olivia Etheridge; great grandchildren, Kase Griffith, Ember Little, and Nash Hayman; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
