Mr. Michael "Mike" John Ryder Sr.

Michael John Ryder, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Merit Health Central in Jackson. Visitation will be 5:00pm until the 7:00pm funeral service Friday, August 10, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Bro. Chuck Ford will officiate the service. Mr. Ryder was born in Chicago, IL to the late Thomas and Marie Ryder. He lived in Byram since 1979 and was a devoted member of Relate Church. Mr. Ryder had a great sense of humor, enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom, Donald, Joey and Bobby; sisters, Mary and Darlene. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Jean Ryder of Byram; son, Michael Ryder, Jr. of Byram; daughters, Carol (David) Ramer of Raymond, Marlene Coleman of Jackson and Rhonda (Ric) Whatley of Raymond.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
