Mitchael (Mike) R. Williams, 58, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 in Jackson, MS. Mike was born on December 21, 1955, to Roy and Maudina Williams of Richland, MS. He was a loving son, husband, father, Papaw, and friend to many. He was married to Teresa (Sissy) Crenshaw for 37 years and was a long time resident of Richland, MS. He had two children, Jessica and Michael that were his pride and joy. He was a member of First Baptist Church Richland, MS where he served over the years as a deacon, greeter, usher, RA leader, and in the nursery. He had many friends in the community and at work. He loved traveling to Oxford to watch Ole Miss Football and visit his children in college. He loved to hunt, fish, watch sports, and especially play with his grandson, Manning. He loved family vacations at the beach and going deep sea fishing. He formerly served as an alderman of Richland for four years. He worked for Saks for 31 years as an electrician and facilities manager. Mike is survived by his wife, Teresa (Sissy), two children, Jessica (Derek) Holeman of Brandon and Michael Williams of Oxford/Richland, grandson Manning Holeman of Brandon, his parents Roy and Maudina Williams, his brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Teresa Williams, mother-in-law Maurine Keyes, all of Richland, mother-in-law Shirley Crenshaw Thrasher of Florence, and many other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church Richland on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 11:00 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
