Mrs. Mildred Evelyn Lowther

Mildred Evelyn Lowther, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Friday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Lowther was a longtime resident of Florence moving here from Pearl. She was a member of Quest Community Church. She loved hunting and fishing and was very outgoing. Mrs. Mildred was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn and her son, James Jr Moreland. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Lowther of Florence; sisters, Dorothy Moore of Thomasville, Walterine Ford of Carthage, and Betty Jean Cummins of Edinburg; one grandson, Tim (Misi) Moreland and two great grandchildren, Chase and Kelsey Moreland.
