Milton Walker

Milton L. Walker, Sr., 74, died at Sonny Montgomery Veterans Administration on March 30, 2010. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be April 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton; interment following at the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Walker was a US Air Force veteran. He was an educator teaching school in Richland and McLaurin for 35 years. Along with teaching he coached football and girls' basketball.\ \ He is preceded in death by his siblings: Billy, Cecil, and Alton Walker and Lula Mae Watson.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Walker of Braxton; sons: Lee Walker of Moselle, Jerry Walker (Barbara) of Florence; brothers: Bobby Walker (Linda) of Starkville, Jack Walker (Shirley) of Willis, TX, Clarence Walker (Dianne) of Florence, Kent Walker (Ann) of Byram; sisters: Nell Aust of Scooba, Helen Gray (James) of Byram; grandchildren: Eric Holifield (Christy), Dana Miller (Kevin); great grandchildren: Kimberly Holifield, Natalie Holifield, Wade Miller, Kinley Miller; foster grandchildren: Dylan Copeland, Kaden Dickerson and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.\
