Milton Ward

Milton Ward, 81, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Simpson General Hospital. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Palestine Cemetery in Harrisville.\ \ Mr. Ward was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army after WWII. He retired from Armstrong World Industries after 39 years.\ \ Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Mike Carroll; brothers, Van Ward, Percy Ward, and Huey Ward; and sister, Alice Steinwinder.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Ward of Harrisville; son, Larry Ward (Vivian) of Long Beach; daughters, Vickie Sills (Gary) of Harrisville and Debra Carroll of College Station, TX; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.\ \ The family guestbook may be signed at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com. \
